Strategic Educational Planning – 8th Grade

What should you and your student be doing to prepare for high school and beyond? Whether your student is seeking accelerated options to supplement classroom learning or looking to identify extracurricular and academic passions, this planning session will give you critical insight into the years ahead.

Your counselor will discuss the various ways your child can engage in school to help position him/her/them for post-secondary opportunities. During this 75-90 minute meeting, your counselor will give you an overview of the college process and make personalized recommendations that your child can follow through each year of high school.

Service highlights:

  • Review of student’s report cards or transcripts and any relevant information pertaining to academics, extracurricular activities, and learning needs
  • Interview of the student and family to learn about the student’s strengths, struggles and interests
  • Development of a personalized strategic plan for the student to follow
